Senior Enrichment Program

Dental and Medical Examinations
Dental check-ups are done on an as need basis by Dr. Stokes. A family medical doctor name Dr. Luke Nelligan render services to our seniors each month.

Health and Nutrition Classes
The Community Mental Health Rep visits twice weekly to conduct Mental Health assessments, Group and individual Counseling sessions to all of the seniors. John H. Boner Senior Wellness Coordinator offers monthly blood pressure and cholesterol monitoring and health/nutritional classes.

Bible Study
Every Tuesday Pastor Willie Jenkins provides the seniors Bible Study. Pastor Jenkins also assist the seniors with a program that support children left by their incarcerated parents.

Housing and Transportation Assistance
 

Computer Training
Mr. Willie Griffin of United North East Community Development Corporation provides computer classes weekly and/or a volunteer train on an as needed basis.

Free Tax Service
We receives Tax Services assistance from a volunteer of The Devington Community organization

►Recreational Activities


Activities include: arts & crafts; leisure activities such as cards and board games; exercise; social outings (e.g., malls, theater, plays); educational learning on topics such as financial management, Social Security, health, and safe sex; computer basics; health/nutritional advice; and other recreation and cultural pursuits. In addition to these activities, seniors may receive mental health and other counseling; participate in workforce development activities (e.g., job search assistance); and access other services/supports offered through FMMSC Support Services such as emergency financial assistance.
